5. Raymond Kopa
Legendary Frenchman, Raymond Kopa might have spent only three years at the Bernabeu, but he was an integral figure in the club winning two league titles and three consecutive European Cups.
He scored 30 goals from them and won the Ballon d’Or during his time in Madrid.
Nicknamed, ‘El Brujo’ or the wizard Amancio won nine league titles during his time at the club, winning the Pichichi trophy twice and being named in a FIFA World XI which played Brazil in front of 93,000 at the Maracana in 1968.
He retired in 1976 and later managed both the Castilla and the first team.
3. Emilio Butragueno
Nicknamed as the “Vulture” during his time at Real Madrid, Emilio Butragueno came through the youth system at the club and was a key part of the club’s revival in the mid-1980s, scoring 123 goals for them, while leading them to six LaLiga titles, two Copa del Rey’s and two UEFA Cup honours.
After leaving the club in 1995, he returned later as the director of football.
The most capped player in Real Madrid history with 741 appearances, Raul was the all-time highest goalscorer for the club until he was overtaken by Cristiano Ronaldo and is the fifth highest scorer in the LaLiga.
The only player to have been voted best striker of the year by UEFA three times in a row, Raul has also been named the best player in the history of the Spanish league by the Center for the Study of History and Statistics of Spanish Football in 2016.
