Barcelona have reportedly named their terms when it comes to Philippe Coutinho with the club management seeking a £9million loan fee for the Brazilian should any Premier League club wanting to sign him.
Coutinho has been linked with a return back to England after spending this year on loan at Bayern Munich, and with the German club opting against make his loan move permanent, the 27-year-old’s future is currently up in the air.
The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with the player, though nothing has come out of it due to Barcelona’s asking price of £71m for the midfielder. This has led to the management deciding on sanctioning a second loan for the Brazilian in order to get his wages of their books.
While it has been understood that he has no future at the Nou Camp, club legend, Rivaldo has urged the management to give his fellow countryman a second chance as he believes that the player still has a lot to offer.
“I believe in his qualities and think much will depend on his will and mental strength. He must prove that others were wrong to write him off and that he can still make the difference for any team.
Playing for Barcelona is a unique chance for a player and perhaps Coutinho’s experience in the Bundesliga has made him wake up and see that Barca could be the right place for him.”
