West Ham United midfielder, Declan Rice has come to the defence of Manchester United star, Paul Pogba following his spat with Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit, Graeme Souness on social media.
Souness has been a vocal critic of the Frenchman on television in his work as a pundit and Pogba recently stoked the fire when he revealed in an interview that, “I didn’t even know who he [Souness] was.”
This led to Souness replying by claiming, “The oldest thing in football comes to mind – put your medals on the table.”
Declan Rice: “Why do people hate on Pogba? Don’t make any sense. The guy is ridiculous, one of the best in the world. You think he wants to be injured? Somethings in football you can’t prevent. 😴😴” #muzone [IG] pic.twitter.com/LqCnnUYgy3

Rice for his part does not understand why Pogba receives so much hate and criticism from various quarters, which is very surprising considering that he is one of the best in the world.
“Why do people hate on Pogba? Don’t make any sense. The guy is ridiculous, one of the best in the world. You think he wants to be injured? Some things in football you can’t prevent,” he said as quoted by Dailymail.
The 21-year-old who is considered to be one of the best young players in the world has been linked with a move away from the club, with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea understood to be interested in signing him.
