Serie A side Inter Milan are keen on signing Uruguyan forward Edinson Cavani, who will be out of contract at French club PSG this summer, on a free transfer in the upcoming transfer window, according to reports in Italy.
Inter Milan are expected to lose Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona in the upcoming summer. Talks are reportedly ongoing between Barca and Inter, although both parties have not come to terms yet. If Barcelona manage to sign Martinez in the summer, Inter Milan will likely want to reinforce their attacking department, and the club reportedly wants to sign Edinson Cavani, Sky in Italy claims.

Cavani, 33, could be a short-term solution for Inter. Ever since joining PSG in 2013, Cavani has been prolific in front of the goal, and has amassed 200 goals for the club from 300 appearances in all competitions. The striker is unlikely to renew his contract at the French outfit, and Inter could capitalise on the opportunity to land a deal for him.
Cavani is also said to be a target of Atletico Madrid, and hence, if Inter decide to pursue a move for the PSG star, they will likely face stiff competition from the La Liga side.
