Aaron Ramsey could be used as part of a swap deal that would see Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba return to Juventus, with the Welshman going the other way, according to a report in the Italian outlet Calciomercato (via Express).
Pogba’s future with United continues to be clouded with uncertainty, with Old Lady one of the leading runners for his signature.
It appears that Juventus are willing to let Ramsey, who joined them on a free transfer, to lure the Premier League side to sell Pogba. The Old Trafford outfit are said to be keen on the former Arsenal midfielder.
However, the report states that Maurizio Sarri is happy with the Welshman, whom he believes was putting on show his best form before football came to an abrupt halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The former Chelsea gaffer reportedly sees a future for Ramsey at the club, but the defending Serie A champions would be willing to let him leave if that means Pogba could be brought back to the club.
Pogba has one more year left on his United contract, and the Red Devils have an option to extend it for another year, but it remains to be seen whether they will exercise that option or not.
Spanish behemoths, Real Madrid are linked with a move for Pogba, with Zinedine Zidane believed to be keen on signing the French World Cup winner.
