PSG are willing to extend his contract, but Madrid are viewing Kouassi as a possible long-term replacement for club captain Sergio Ramos. The Spanish international’s existing contract with Madrid outfit is set to expire at the end of the next season, and talks of a potential extension are widely believed to have not started yet.
Madrid are, however, not the only side to have shown an interest in the defender. The 17-year-old is believed to have attracted admirers across Europe, with the likes of Barcelona and Liverpool reportedly among sides weighing up a move for the French defender.
Kouassi made his senior team debut for PSG in 2019, and has so far made 13 appearances for the Paris-based outfit, with six of those coming in the French top-flight, and has scored three goals.
It remains to be seen how this will eventually pan out, with several reports indicating the player is ready to put pen to paper on a new contract at PSG, while Madrid reportedly plot to snap him up on a free transfer in the summer.
